There are several improvement I found would be useful in my workflow in the waveform generator instrument:

Add the option to specify a period (in ms, ns us) instead of a frequency in the app. Sometimes it is more convenient to work with the period instead of the repetition rate for e.g to get quick estimation of the duty cycle using the pulse mode. Adding a duty cycle mode (in 100%) for the pulse mode (like the square mode) would also be sometimes convenient.

For the pulse waveform, I would like an option to only change the pulse Vpp without changing the reference voltage. Adding a polarity mode, with the pulse being only positive (or negative which is not currently possible) instead of centred on the DC bias would be very convenient for e.g when working with optical modulator.

Allow the square cycle to have a duty cycle of 100% (being then a DC component) / do not enforce a return to zero. It is sometimes useful when working with a burst modulation for synchronous driving of resonant cavity.

Add a button in the app to trigger a single pulse directly from the app in the burst mode. This could be a new trigger mode “Application” which enable “Burst” button to enable the burst. For gated mode, the user could also specify the duration of the gate.
