Hello!

I have a Moku:Go that I control using the Python API, and I am trying to set up a Multi-Instrument Mode Oscilloscope for some experiments. I can initialize it and set most of the necessary parameters, passing “Input1” to “Slot2InA” and “Input2” to “Slot2InB”. However whenever I try to run set\_trigger, it errors out. Running Oscilloscope.get\_sources() I see the sources are named “GenericInputA” and “GenericInputB”, but whatever I pass to set\_trigger it errors out with ‘GenericInputA is not a valid value for Trigger channel’. I have tried both GenericInputs, InputA and B, Input1 and 2, nothing works.

Is it possible to set the trigger for the Oscilloscope in Multi-Instrument Mode, and if so, how?

Thanks!

Hi @cacollet ,

Thank you for reaching out to Liquid Instruments! When using Multi-Instrument mode, the sources become `ChannelA`, `ChannelB`, and so on, so you should use either one of those as your trigger source. [Here](https://apis.liquidinstruments.com/api/reference/oscilloscope/set_trigger.html) is a link to our documentation which lists the sources available. I will raise a ticket with our team to update the documentation to make it more clear which sources to use in MiM vs in standalone mode. I hope this helps!
